Breastfeeding efficacy in the days immediately following birth influence its duration and exclusivity.  Even if breastfeeding is a natural process, some dyads experience difficulty during this important time of initiation.  This workshop aims to explore the impact that certain obstetrical practices can have on breastfeeding initiation and discusses strategies to foster early breastfeeding success.
