As part of Pride Month (June), we share with you a publication from the Direction régionale de la santé publique de Montréal
This synthesis is the result of a summary review of the scientific and grey literature, carried out in collaboration with a researcher from the Centre de recherche Jeunes, familles et réponses sociales (JEFAR).
It aims to shed light on the breastfeeding journeys of sexually and gender-diverse families, reporting on their motivation for breasfeeding, their barriers to breastfeeding and the outcomes of their journeys. The literature review also produced 8 recommendations for healthcare professionals called upon to support breasfeeding.
